I'm not sure who or what I was trying to channel through this look, but I feel like it exemplifies a more "dressed up casual" vibe of my style. Also, I may I have been going for "dad" vibes, especially when selecting the sunglasses.
Yellow is one of my favorite colors! Something about it makes me feel happy and optimistic. I thrifted this billowy shirt for only $4 awhile ago, and the material is so smooth. This particular shade of yellow is my favorite. It's a very true or primary yellow, not too light and not too dark. The jeans are a recent thrift find. I've been into high waisted jeans (pants in general) for awhile now but I've been trying to get into a different fit. Before, I used to love a slimmer fit on my legs, but now I aim for a straight leg fit that still hugs my butt. When I tried these on in the dressing room (yes I try on my clothes at thrift stores... I just shower immediately when I get home) they fit exactly how I wanted and I had to get them.
The sunglasses aren't something I'd usually go for, but smaller frames have been on trend lately so it was perfect that I found a pair that fit my face. Style Tip: Thrift pieces that you want to try out since they're fairly inexpensive. This allows you to try different trends and incorporate them into your wardrobe without breaking your bank account!
I felt like throwing on my leather converse as opposed to my canvas pair to dress up the outfit a bit more (shoutout to my cousins, Aidan & Auri for gifting them to me). The necklace I'm wearing was a quick DIY project. I've been hanging onto the circluar pendant from my mom for years, and found a jumper/o-ring to attach it to a silver chain I had laying around.
Thanks for continuing to follow this blog journey. Stay wholesome!
All my love,
Ben
P.S. The weather during this shoot was gloomy which was a weird way to juxstapose this warm, sunny outfit.
