We are already one week into 2018, and I have a good feeling about this year. My New Year's resolution was to start this blog and see how I'll grow through it and where it might lead me. After sitting on my twin XL mattress, listening to my January playlist, and some hesitant self reflecting, I decided that I should implement a few things in my life to keep myself in the high spirits that this fresh start has brought.
01. Drink more water.
02. Go outside. Take walks. Bathe in the sun. Swing on the swings.
03. Write down my goals. Speak them out-loud.
04. Discover new music, stop listening to the same four artists LOL―making monthly playlists should help.
05. Take a photoset ever day of the year―I cant wait to look back.
06. Draw. Draw. Draw. Define what my "signature" art style is.
07. Pray, meditate, speak to the universe.
08. Stop feeling scared to reach out to people.
09. Stop the self-loathing behaviors―practice self-compassion.
10. Write three things I'm grateful for every night.
If 2018 has already started off poorly for you, I hope that it gets better. I know how it goes, and understand sometimes we need to go through a slump, but don't stay in it for too long. You can pull yourself out, and hopefully that happens sooner than later. For those of you who've started this year off optimistically I'm happy for you. Let's keep riding this wave all 2018 or at least a majority of it!
